Studying on growth of Taxus Wallichiana Zucc. cell suspension cultures

Abstract

Taxus wallichiana Zucc. cell suspension cultures were made from calli derived from young stem segments of Lamdong Taxus wallichiana, on B5 medium with 30g/l sucrose, 5mg/l 2, 4-D and 0,5mg/l kinetin. Polyphenols excreted by cells reduced cell suspension growth. Polyvinyl pirrolidone (PVP, 30mg/l) limited effect of polyphenols and increased growth of these cell suspensions.
