World economic crisis and challenges to Vietnam’s poverty reduction

Abstract

The author highlighted the achievements in implementing hunger eradication and poverty reduction strategy in innovation period: the rise in average income, the mass economic growth. However, the poverty reduction results is instable, a lot of challenges are still posing to the poverty reduction process. To overcome the challenges, it is foremost to have innovative thinking in hunger eradication and poverty reduction policies, that is putting the hunger and poverty issue in the sustainable development model strategy, which is implemented within three sides: sustainable economic growth; social advance; environment preservation.
