An approach based on human rights in planning and implementing policies in Vietnam

Abstract

In the innovation career, our Party and State are getting more clearer cognition that development should go together with comprehensively affirm all human rights. Vietnam has signed in almost all important international conventions on human rights, as well as locally legalized the convention rules into national laws, into policy planning, legal documents publishing, applied in the process of supervising laws and policies. Many criteria and principles of human rights have been recognized and thoroughly grasped in Parliament activities; have been used for aims planning as well as implementing Government’s development schemes... However, there still remains some drawbacks and it is necessary to implement measures to effectively apply the human rights approach in executing public affairs.
