ON THE LEVELS OF LEXICAL MEANING ANALYSIS (IMPLYING THE LEVEL OF INTELLECTUAL LEXICAL MEANINGS -TERMINOLOGICAL MEANINGS)

  • Lê Quang Thiêm

Abstract

The article  puts a  question  of  lexical meaning analysis  per component and per  level. From micro to  macro there are:  Semantic feature (sème) – the meaning forming component. In its turn, the  meaning  itself  is  the  component  that  takes  part  in  composing  a  system  of  meanings  of  a  polysemantic word. Meanings of mono-semantic words combine with meanings of poly -semantic words to form  lexical  semantic  fields.  A  new  level ,  according  to  the  author,  is  a  semantic  stratum.  Threesemantic  strata  with  6  semantic  types form a full lexical   meaning spectrum  of the language  implying terminological meanings.
