Ontological Metaphors provide much less cognitive structuring for target than structural ones. Because their cognitive job gives an ontological status to genral categories of  abtract target concepts such asobjects, substances and container. Ontological Metaphor in Xuan Quỳnh’s poem is expressed by the conceptu al metaphor BODY IS A CONTAINER FOR EMOTION. Xuan Quynh used heart, bely, etc  as a container for emotion such as happy, love, sadand so on.
