On the nature of syntactic relationship between the cause components and effect components in cause-and-effect compound sentences

Abstract

    Considering the characteristics of syntactic relationship between the cause components and effect components cause-and-effect compound sentences, the author do believe that although this relationship has the similar features with Ihe coordinated relationship and has reciprocal dependent characteristics, basically, it has the natures of the major - subordinate relationship, in which "the cause" component is subordinate clause.
