Deontic modality in Vietnamese literature texts taught at high school

Abstract
Based on a thorough investigation of Vietnamese language sentences in texts found in textbooks of Philology in high school, this article describes four characteristics: realistic possibility, unrealistic possibility, realistic obligation, and unrealistic obligation in perceptional modality, pointing out the subjectivity and means of demonstration in each characteristic. Finally, the article compares and contrasts 4 characteristics then draw a conclusion on deontic modality in Vietnamese sentences.
