Situation and factors affecting the level of investment in science and technology in production and business of agricultural enterprises in Can Tho city.

Abstract

The study focused on analyzing the situation of investment in the use of machinery and equipment, the efficiency of machinery utilization and the factors affecting the level of investment in applying scientific and technological advances into production and business. Enterprises operating in the field of agriculture in Can Tho city. The survey results show that the share of machinery and equipment in the total capital of enterprises is relatively low. In addition, in general, the enterprises using machinery and equipment have not invested effectively as shown by the efficiency of using machinery and equipment of enterprises over the years. With regard to the factors affecting the decision to invest in science and technology in production and business of the enterprise, the results of the regression analysis indicate that there are 4 statistically significant factors: Equity, machinery performance, labor and number of years of operation.
