Abstract

Vietnam's economy has started to lose momentum in growth since 2008 and this has had a strong impact on Vietnam's private sector. However, in this difficult period, the private sector of Vietnam has proved its vitality and flexibility. The paper reviews the current situation of the private sector and proposes this model of regional development in the coming time, in line with the process of building a modern market economy in Vietnam. Part 1 of the article in No. 68 has presented the practice of private sector in Vietnam over time. Part 2, in this issue of the Journal, will propose models for the development of the private sector in the future.
