Voluntary regional linkage: US, Korean, Chinese experience and lessons for Vietnam

  • Trần Thị Thu Hương

Abstract

Voluntary linkage is gaining more and more local attention. Not only are localities actively linking the region, but the central government also considers encouraging voluntary sector linkages to be one of the indispensable tools in the new view of harmonious development. Consideration of voluntary regional connectivity in some advanced countries such as the United States and South Korea, as well as a country with similar economic and political institutions as China, will contribute to the main planners. The book identifies the advantages of each form of regional alignment, from which to design inter-regional forms appropriate to Vietnam's conditions.
