Abstract

The business performance of listed joint stock commercial banks is a concern of investors which has a strong impact on the safety and stability of the financial market. This study surveyed 16 joint stock commercial banks listed in Vietnam in the period of 2014-2020 in sheet data to evaluate the effects of financial characteristics on the business performance reflected in the return on assets (ROA) and the return on equity (ROE). On that basis, the authors propose solutions to improve business performance of listed joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam.
