RESEARCH ON FACTORS AFFECTING THE EFFICIENCY OF FLOATING PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM – APPLICATION TO THE SYSTEM AT DA MI HYDROPOWER PLANT
Abstract
As the living environment is becoming more polluted today, renewable energy based power generation technologies in general and solar power in particular play an increasingly important role in the energy map of each country. This paper presents an overview of floating photovoltaic (FPV), including: structure, advantages and drawbacks compared to the ground photovoltaic (GPV), factors affecting the performance of the system and countermeasures. After that, simulation of the FPV system at Da Mi Hydro power plant was developed under two scenarios with different environment temperature in order to determine and estimate the influence on the output power of system. The simulation results are analyzed and referred to the investigation results of the two actual systems to validate the model and conclude about the influence of the environment on the performance of the FPV
