ANALYSIS OF THE COMPONENT COMPETITIVENESS INDEX IN 2013 TO IMPROVE GENERAL COMPETITIVENESS INDEX IN BAC NINH

Abstract

The provincial competitiveness index plays an important role in confirming free business environment and quality of economic governance and administrative reform efforts of the local authority of each province or city in the country. Within the scope of the article, we use statistical methods to analyze description, compare some indicators on the status of general competitiveness and component index of Bac Ninh province to other areas ranked the first and Red River Delta provinces in order to find out the relationship between PCI with attracting foreign direct investment in Bac Ninh province; fundamental contribution of the attraction of foreign direct investment in recent years; intrinsic limitations of competitiveness index of Bac Ninh. Based on that, we propose some suggestions and solutions to improve and adjust properly in order to constantly develop the PCI in the period 2015-2020 and vision to 2030 .
