Study on transformation of some α,β-unsaturated ketones from 2-hydroxy-5-methoxyacetophenone.

Abstract

A series of pyrazoline derivatives have been prepared by reaction of α,β-unsaturated  ketones with p-nitrophenylhydrazine. These α,β-unsaturated ketones, however, will he transformed to correspondent flavonoid-type compounds by the action of hydrogen peroxide (H202) in base condition. Structure of these products was confirmed by IR, ¹H-NMR and MS spectroscopic data. Biological activities of these compounds have been investigated.
