Study on effect of heat treatment on structure and properties of polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride-nanoclay composites (PPMA/NC) Part II - Effect of heat treatment on properties of polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride/nanoclay composite
Abstract
The effect of heat treatment on properties of polypropylene grafted maleic Anhydride/nanoclay composite (PPMA/NC) was studied. The results show that the mechanical properties (tensile and impact strengths) of materials with lower crystallinity are higher than that of material with higher one. It is due to high deformation ability of materials with low crystallinity. In the contrary, material with lower cooling rate has higher heat resistance and lower liquid permeability due to its higher crystallinity.
