Armed conflict has profound consequences on socio-economic development and the wellbeing of the generality of citizens in a country. The human capital‟s wellbeing, motivation and conditions of service are adversely affected by war. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of armed conflict on job satisfaction among workers in armed conflict societies. A quantitative research methodology was employed in carrying out the study. 200 participants who were selected using simple random sampling technique participated in the study by completing a 13 item questionnaire. The study found out that armed conflict results in the displacement of people, inter-community violence, violation of human rights, sexual assaults, social breakdown, destruction of economic infrastructure, destruction of people‟s homes, destruction of people‟s psycho-social status and destruction of health and education-supporting infrastructure. Employee satisfaction among workers in armed conflict societies is extremely low. All the consequences of war were found to have a strong positive relationship with job satisfaction for workers in armed conflict societies. The study was important in that it informs the general public, government, shareholders and managers about the consequences of armed conflict on job satisfaction.
