RESEARCH ON FACTORS AFFECTING STUDENT’S EXPENDITURE IN HANOI UNIVERSITY OF INDUSTRY

Abstract

Income and expenditure are two sides of a personal finance issue. Reasonable spending
to both satisfy personal needs in the present and create savings for the future is a matter of
concern for every student in the context of post-covid economic difficulties. Therefore,
determining the factors affecting student spending will contribute to providing useful
solutions and recommendations for students to have the right view and have reasonable
spending measures. The study selects the scope of the study as students of Hanoi University
of Industry in order to assess the factors affecting students' spending. The data used in the
study is primary data through survey results from 268 students. The hypotheses in the study
were tested using SPSS 26.0 software. The research results show that the factors affecting
student spending include: family allowances, living and studying environment, financial
style, the development of online payment services, feeling of purchasing power.
