EXPLOITING LINGUISTIC MODALITY IN COMMUNICATIVE GRAMMAR FOR TEACHING VIETNAMESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

Modality exists in all linguistic communication. The communication
cannot lack Modality. From the absolute respect for the native language, the
paper mentions: a) Some suggestive ideas in applying and implementing the
theory of Functional Grammar in the field of Linguistic Education, specifically
teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language. b) Contributing to drafting a
Communicative Grammar framework for compiling textbooks to teach
Vietnamese as a foreign language.
