FABRICATION AND SURVEY PROPERTIES OF POLYME NANOCOMPOZIT ON THE BASIC OF HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE) WITH MULTIWALL CARBON NANO TUBES (MWCNT)

Abstract

In this study, we denatured MWCNT by HNO3 63%, and research the structure, morphology, properties of the original MWCNT and the modified MWCNT by SEM, TEM images, FT-IR infrared spectrum and thermal analysis. The result of this study confirmed that the carboxyl group was attached to the surface of MWCNT. The modified MWCNT is dispersed in plastic better than the
original . Therefore, the mechanical and physical properties of nanocomposite materials are increased. Appropriate percentage of MWCNT used is 1%. We investigated the influence of the technology regime on the dispersion of CNT in the plastic substrate and the properties of materials. Since then, we established the technical method of making HDPE/CNTbt nanocomposite materials according to the 3-stage process. And we have successfully manufactured polymer nanocomposite materials based on HDPE/1% CNTbt. It shows that this material has increased 45.7% in tensile strength and 75.4% elastic modulus, compared to the original HDPE plastic. This research has
opened the direction to manufacture materials with good mechanical properties. It can be applied in the manufacture of anti-impact and high durability products
