Abstract

This paper present the effects of swell/sag (dip) votage short-duration, the causes and solutions by using dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). Three compensation methods for DVRs are analyzed to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of each method of compensating swell/sag (dip) votage short-duration in three-phase electrical power network with the phase angle. This results is the basis for building the structure and control algorithm in the DVR. A modelling simulation is designedto demonstrates the characteristics and properties the compensation methods of DVR.
