STUDY ON COMPOST PRODUCTION FROM WASTE SLUDGE OF NGHE AN SHRIMP RAISING-POND
Abstract
The research reusing waste sludge from shrimp-raising ponds at 5 selected
locations in Nghe An province including Quynh Di - Hoang Mai, Quynh Luong -
Quynh Luu, Nghi Hop - Nghi Loc, Hung Hoa - Vinh and Dien Trung - Dien Chau is
aimed at establishing the compost-producing pilot model. The results of
investigating important effecting factors on optimal composting conditions
show that pH ranges from 7.2 - 8.2, temperature gains 20 - 45oC and humidity
varies from 22 - 65% suitable for organic-decomposing microorganisms. After 86
days of continuously brewing and mixing, the completed compost having pH of
7.32 - 7.55, total Nitrogen of 1.59 - 3.95%, Carbon of 19.91 - 23.75%, amont of
heavy metals (Pb, As, Hg, Cd) is met the requirements of organic fertilizer quality
regulated in the Circular No. 36/2010/TT-BNNPTNT.
