CALCULATION ON CONVERTING HANDLED GARBAGE VEHICLEST TO ELECTRIC GARBAGE VEHICLES

Abstract

This paper presents study evaluations of converting hand garbage vehicles
to electric garbage vehicles. The theoretical calculation method is used to
calculate the power of electric motor, braking force, power supply. The
calculation results show that the traction and power of the electric motor are
280N and 600W, the handbrake force of 112N corresponds to the 5cm of braking
journey, the solution using two independent electric motor mounted directly on
the wheel brings high efficiency. 350W of three phase brushless electric motor
were selected for mounting on the vehicle, 48V 20Ah lithium battery was needed
to power electric vehicles, Test results showed that the vehicle can carry up to
400kg, the continuous running time of the car is 8h.
