Abstract

Transformer is an important device in the power supply system. Transformer
failures are particularly severe, which can lead to endangering people as well as
disrupting power supply to a large number of customers. Therefore, it is
necessary to develop tools for monitoring, detecting and early warning of
abnormal conditions in operation of transformers, so that the operators can
handle them before the faults occur. This paper presents the results of research,
design and fabrication of a monitoring equipment to transformer, thereby
helping to reduce abnormal incidents and support maintenance and
maintenance according to conditions (CBM). The main objective of this device is
to detect early abnormalities that cause malfunction and damage to the
transformer. The important parameters of the transformer are monitored
through the field-installed equipment. Main functions are programmed and
designed on electronic circuits. Monitoring programs are written on software to
help operators use conveniently. The equipment was installed and tested at the
actual transformer. Test results realize proposed functions of monitoring,
management and operation of the transformer.
