A STUDY ON BUILDING CONTROL SOFTWARE MODULE FOR COATING PROCESS USING A VACUUM ARC TECNIQUE

Abstract

The HCM-700 PVD coating equipment is manufactured and integrated in
the framework of a project under the Supporting Industry program that allows
the creation of hard coatings on various materials by both sputtering and arc
methods. To provide full control over all parameters and allow the user to
make flexible adjustments during coating, a software for controling arc-head
of the HCM-700 coating machine is built. Flexible HMI software platform and
industry standard programmable logic controller (PLC) is used. With complete
control of all parameters, hard coatings of designed components and
properties can be fabricated.
