TILT ANGLE OF FLAT PLATE SOLAR COLLECTORS

Abstract

Flat plate solar collectors for water heater or electric generator are being
used on a residential and industrial scale. How to install these panels with the
angle of inclination to achieve the highest solar efficiency is a requirement of
practice. This paper presents the method and results of determining the optimal
tilt angle for solar panels to receive the most radiation corresponding to weather
conditions at 13 meteorological stations in Vietnam.
