Abstract

The history of advertising is associated with developing a market economy and producing goods and
services. The development of science and technology has made advertising activities more and more diverse
and rich. Advertising appears anytime, wherever expressed in other forms and media. Advertising that serves
economic activities is also a cultural creation and influences consumers. Advertising includes advertising
content and advertising form. These contents represent by graphic design advertising. Graphic design in
advertising campaigns is a decisive factor for the survival and development of products in today's digital
media boom. Communications and product advertising are activities carried out in parallel in each stage of
the product life cycle. This paper summarizes the development process and basic concepts of advertising
graphics, roles, components, aesthetic elements, and design principles in advertising graphic design,
therefore, providing more knowledge and design principles in advertising graphics; to support the appraisal
and design of advertising products for Vietnamese businesses in the current market economy.
