DETERMINATION OF TOTAL PHOSPHORUS, PHOSPHATE, TOTAL NITROGEN, AMMONIUM, CHLORIDE, RESIDUAL CHLORINE, COLOR, pH, TOTAL SOLIDS IN WATER OF SOME RIVERS AND LAKES IN BAC TU LIEM DISTRICT, HANOI
Abstract
Every day, a large amount of wastewater is discharged directly or indirectly into the environment without any treatment, dissolved ions, nutrients (N, P), sulfates,
chlorides, residual chlorine, metals heavy, organic compounds, grease, pathogenic microorganisms,... seriously pollute water sources. The first consequence is causing
ecological imbalance, some species of organisms become extinct because they do not adapt to polluted water, next is the effect on us humans. Contaminated water
causes diseases: dermatology, intestinal ... and moreover diseases that the world has no cure for such as cancer... The article introduces the results of analysis and
assessment of the content of indicators total phosphorus, phosphate, total nitrogen, ammonium, chloride, residual chlorine, color, pH, total solids in water of some rivers
and lakes in Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi. Analytical results show that: pH = 6.13 - 6.62; color degree: 11.44 - 27.13mg/l Pt; turbidity: 11.00-30.00 NTU; total solids: 35.13
- 80.21mg/l; COD: 81.350 - 151.220mg/l; total Nitrogen: 3.780 – 26.790mg/l; Ammonium: 0.066 -12.525mg/l; total phosphorus: 0.078 - 1,080mg/l; Phosphate: 0.016
- 0.665mg/l; Chloride: 10.813 - 13.472mg/l; residual chlorine: 0.300 - 27.300mg/l. At some survey points, COD, ammonium, and turbidity levels exceeded the allowable
limits according to QCVN 08-MT: 2015/BTNMT.
