AGRICULTURE CREDIT POLICY AND ROLE OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN KON TUM PROVINCE

Abstract

Credit for agriculture and rural development, is a great credit policy by the wide range and diversity service subjects, accounted for the bulk of the agricultural sector and rural areas throughout Vietnam in general, Kon Tum in particular. However, the current state of the credit generally is not on agriculture, which is caused mainly due to the majority of borrowers' production business scale at only households and small businesses. At the same time, the participation of commercial banks in the field of agriculture and rural credit is limited. Therefore, to assess the status of credit policy of commercial banks for the agricultural sector and rural areas during the period of the 2011- 2015 in Kon Tum. Then, the article will offers solutions to overcome the difficulties and problems, promote sustainable credit growth, contributing actively in the development of agriculture and rural areas in Kontum
