Energy use and energy saving in the small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

Abstract

Technology the technological level of Vietnam’ small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is medium and in a number of industrial sectors, even below medium. Quite a few SMEs have used outdated technological facilities for 30 years and even for 50 years. Moreover their managers and operators’ capability still remains limited and they are not trained systemically. The methods or major solutions to energy saving such as energy auditing, energy management still remain unknown to many SMEs. That is why the waste of energy use in some industries in our country is more serious than in other countries in the region and in the world.
