Vietnam’s economic restructure: Where to start and which road-map should be?

Abstract

    The article identifies the 5 factors that require Vietnam to restructure its economy. They include macro-economic imbalance, a slowdown of growth quality, a wider gap between our middle income and other nations, a growth based on input and exploitation of natural resources.

  Based on his analysis, the writer presents the necessity for renovation of a change for growth model, starting from the renovation of the whole system, namely, growth thinking, institutions, a comprehensive policy for growth to be implemented in all branches, economic sectors and economic regions in the country.
