Factors influencing students' intentions for green energy conversion in transportation
Abstract
The trend towards energy conversion is considered a leading policy in today's fight against climate change and environmental pollution. In particular, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has emphasized this practical requirement due to pollution levels that have reached alarming levels. In this study, we research the current situation, advantages, difficulties, and solutions for green energy conversion when participating in traffic. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and a 5-level Likert scale, we identified factors that affect students' intention to convert to green energy, including beliefs, awareness of environmental responsibility, attitudes, and perceived behavioral control. On the other hand, female students have higher green energy conversion intentions than male students, and the factor of subjective norm does not have a significant impact. Therefore, the research team proposed several solutions to promote the intention of green energy conversion in transportation among students in Hanoi.
