Active participation in UN activities: A priority orientation in Vietnam's multilateral diplomacy

Abstract

The United Nations is the world's largest multilateral organization with the mission of maintaining international peace and security and promoting friendly cooperation and development among countries around the world. The achievements in the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the United Nations are enormous, affirming that Vietnam is an active and responsible member of the international community in general, a member state of the United Nations in particular, while also contributing to enhancing the role and position of Vietnam in the international arena. This article clarifies Vietnam's participation and contribution to the United Nations since its accession to the present.
