Research on Applying Sharing Economy to Connecting the Supply Chain of Vegetables and Fruits in Vietnam

The article focuses on clarifying the benefits when applying sharing economy connecting the supply chain of vegetables and fruits in Vietnam. Scope of research is the fruit and vegetable industry, specifically dragon fruit and vegetable products of Binh Thuan, Vinh Phuc, Lam Dong and Ha Nam provinces in 2018 and 2019. The mixed approach explores a new issue in Vietnam that is the application of sharing economy in the supply chain of vegetables and fruits. The results show that the application of sharing economy to connect stages in the supply chain of vegetables and fruits in Vietnam brings benefits to the actors of this supply chain. The findings of this study are significantly necessary in the context of the Promoting the sharing economy model Project implemented by the Ministry of Planning and Investment which was approved by the Government of Vietnam in August 2019.
