Abstract

In Vietnam, Mid-Autumn Festival is considered a children's festival. However, in Korea, this date is called Chuseok, the meaning and value of which are totally different from Vietnam 's Mid Autumn Festival spirit. To explore these interesting differences, the authors use a combination of methods including listing, comparing, and contrasting the origins, rituals, games, dishes, activities, etc. during Tet holiday and other festivals of the two countries in order to clarify the characteristics and cultural beauty of the two countries, as well as the position and role of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the two peoples.
