Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study on cutting propagation of Cinnamomum parthenoxylon (Jack) Meisn. at Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province. It concludes that synthetic auxin, rooting medium, and treating time  of cuttings clearly affect the percentage of root formation and rooting quality of Cinnamomum parthenoxylon cuttings. The IBA with a concentration of 250 ppm, and the medium of mixing  of 60 % raw sand + 40 % sawdust are the most suitable for cutting propagation of the species, resulting in the maximum percentage of root formation and the best rooting quality. The best treating time of the cuttings with 250 ppm IBA is confirmed at 30 minutes.
