THE KINETIC CALCULATION OF ORGANIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESS ON THE MEDIA

Abstract

In this article, we introduce our main study result in calculating of biological treatmentequipment. An algorithm is created to calculate organic wastewater treatment process byaerotank with the media.Calculation of carbonaceous BOD removal and nitrification, those are formulas to calculatethe concentration of activated sludge, growth rate of microorganism, activated sludge ages, thetime for BOD removal and nitrification ect.Calculation of the media, that is an approximate algorithm to calculate the maximum daysof microorganism attach on media, hydraulic speed, the maximum thick of biofilm on media,total surface of media, volume of media ect.All experimental formulas use in this algorithm are our experimental result when we studyon more than 50 hospital waswewater and municipal wastewater treatment systems which areconstucted and are operating.This algorithm allow to design the aerotank modul when we calculate biological treatmentequipment for treating organic wastwater of hospital and municiple in Viet Nam.
