Fostering english self-study competence in the first-year students at quang ninh university of industry in the digital era
Abstract
Self-study is an important and necessary issue for students in today's digital era. Some students are not yet aware and have not clearly identified their path, and do not have a reasonable learning method, while the requirement for initiative in learning is very high. To comprehensively grasp professional knowledge at the university level, students must put in a lot of effort in their learning activities, especially spend a lot of time on self-study and self-research, need a proper, appropriate and effective method of study, especially for the English module. First-year students often find this a difficult course and difficult to achieve high results. Therefore, in order to develop English self-study capacity for first-year students at Quang Ninh University of Industry, the article has proposed a number of measures. Through observation and statistics, experimental results show that after implementing these measures, students have had positive changes in their ability to self-study.
