Research the effect of mining depth on deformation and collapse process of the roof by FLAC 3D software

Abstract

When the mining depth increases, the mining will face up to many problems that hinder the mining process and contain high risks of unsafety. To ensure safety and improve mining efficiency as the mining depth increases, it is necessary to evaluate the influence of mining depth on the deformation and collapse of the roof, this is the basis for providing suitable mining technical solutions. The article uses Flac3D software to build a mining model with the mining depth from 100 m to 300 m to compare the variation of the depth of the failure, displacement zone and the roof stress.
