Protecting consumers from risks of online shopping in Viet Nam
Abstract
Nowadays, with the continuous development of information technology, digital devices have become incredibly popular and have a strong impact on consumers' thinking and buying behavior. Especially, the crisis from the Covid-19 pandemic has completely turned the global consumer landscape upside down, making consumers continue to shop more online, changing their needs. In which, Vietnam is no exception, online shopping has no longer a strange form for Vietnamese people. Consumers shouldn't have to think or have difficulty in finding the goods they need to buy, they totally can reach out products and famous brands with high quality from domestic and abroad. However, this form of shopping form also carries a lot of potential risks for consumers. The article stands from the perspective of consumers to point out their risks when doing online shopping, thereby suggesting some solutions to both limit risks in this field and protect the rights of consumers, simultaneously boost economic growth.
