VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE IN VIETNAM: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

Vocational education is a mandatory educational activity in high schools, as stipulated in the 2018 General Education Curriculum. It is a crucial activity which helps students access career-related information, and hone necessary capacities to make informed career decisions in the future. This activity is currently undergoing significant impact from the digital age, encompassing both opportunities and challenges that require effective measures. The article aims to clarify Vocational education in the 2018 General Education Curriculum, opportunities and challenges the digital age brings to career guidance activities in high schools, and then proposes measures which help enhance the effectiveness of career guidance activities in the digital age in Vietnam nowadays
