FUNDAMENTALS OF EDUCATIONAL PROCESS ACCORDING TO THE EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF JOHN DEWEY

The educational philosophy is the core of John Dewey's philosophy of pragmatism, in which vastly covers every aspects related to education, from basic to extensive. The Fundamentals of Educational Process such as: the Art of Education, Learning and Doing, Training of Thinking, Individuality and Freedom, the Continuity of the Educational Process has been summarized by the author in the paper as a thin slice from the point of view of J. Dewey's educational philosophy.

STATE OF AFFAIRS OF VIETNAM’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO STRATEGIC AND PLANNING TARGETS FOR THE 2011 - 2020 PERIOD AND ARISEN PROBLEMS

Using data from the Statistical Yearbook for the period of 2011 - 2018 and estimating for the years of 2019 and 2020, the paper focuses on analyzing the current state of Vietnam's economic development in the strategic period of 10 years from 2011 to 2020. With qualitative methods, the article analyzes and assesses the growth index, average income, economic structure shift and some macroeconomic indicators; compares the results of implementation over time with the goals set out in the economic development strategy. At the same time, the article also points out the shortcomings and the reasons for not achieving the goals, based on which proposes solutions to promote economic development for the upcoming period.

ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF REGIONAL LINKAGE IN THE SOUTHERN CENTRAL COASTAL AREA

This study was conducted from February to October 2019 with the use of descriptive statistical methods, aggregated analysis and data comparison to interpret and propose criteria for assessing the economic impact of regional linkages in the development of coastal areas in the South Central Coast such as: Moran’s I index; economic density of GDP/km2; VA / GO ratio; situation of FDI attraction; PCI index; location quotient (LQ) and aggregate impact factor E. Through the results of the study, the article clarified some limitations in the impact of affiliate training on the process of economic development in the Central Coast region shown in: (1) the level of training links is low and the forms of association are not strong; (2) Regional linkages have not helped economic activities in the region to achieve high efficiency; (3) Regional linkages have not improved the competitiveness and the level of investment attraction of the region; (4) Regional linkages have not stimulated the development of economic sectors and fields; (5) Regional linkages have not promoted the economic spillover of the key economic region in Central Vietnam. Accordingly, the proposed solutions include: (i) Increasing the level and efficiency of regional economic integration; (ii) Promoting spillover effects of the Central key economic region; (iii) Improving the links to improve regional competitiveness.

EVERYDAY CULTURE WITH THE CREATION AND RE-CREATION OF THE CULTURAL IDENTITY OF THE SOUTHWESTERN OF VIETNAM

Culture - a shell of expression and is carrying to be expressed. Its richness is not only shown in several hundred definitions in the world, but is also manifested in the differences in the concepts, there by leading to different research directions as well as different policy orientations that may cause various social consequences.

This study will implement the “everyday culture” theory, which has long been used in cultural studies around the world but has only recently been interested in Vietnam, to explore the creation and re-creation of the Southwestern cultural identity. From that basis, thereby clarifying the cultural variability and diversity in the Southwestern region today.

HUNG VUONG (HUNG KINGS) IN VIETNAMESE PEOPLE MENTALITY

SOME NEW RESEARCHES ON ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES OF CIRCULAR EARTHWORKS IN THE AREA OF BINH PHUOC PROVINCE

Circular earthworks sites are special archaeological sites distributed in Southern Indochina with the settlement area in round shape and surrounding outside by an embankment earthen wall and a moat for defense function. These archaeological sites belong to prehistoric communities with the dating back to circa 4,000 - 3,000 years ago, they were discovered in the plateau red-soil nowadays provinces of Binh Phuoc (Vietnam) and Kampong Cham (Cambodia). Recently studies have new findings about the spatial of site distribution, typology and dating of the prehistoric "round villages" in this region. This article introduces the new findings from fieldwork survey to locate the site discovered by Louis Malleret in 1959 and update new research results in 2019 of the distribution and chronology of some circular earthworks sites in Binh Phuoc province.
