REGIONAL LINKAGES IN SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BETWEEN THE MEKONG DELTA AND THE SOUTHEAST: OVERVIEW OF THE SITUATION AND SOME PROPOSALS

Abstract

Presently, regional connections are crucial for maximising advantages and resources in order to foster the development of Vietnam's regions. Southeast Vietnam and the Mekong Delta, on account of their status as significant and dynamic economic regions in Vietnam, occupy a unique position and possess numerous advantages that can facilitate reciprocal progress. The article presents an analysis of the present state of regional linkages in socio-economic development between the Mekong Delta and the Southeast regions. It also suggests several solutions and policy recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the connection between these two regions in the future.
