Abstract

The student-centred approach to teaching has long been discussed in research on educational methodologies. This method originates from evolving perceptions of the essence of learning and from constructivistism.

Among the many teaching methods based on constructivism, the photovoice method stands out as an effective method for promoting active learning and collaborative knowledge construction among learners. The paper examines the process of development and underlying concepts of utilising the photovoice method in education, proposing its use in the contemporary university setting.
