Abstract

The study was conducted to evaluate some physiological and biochemical indicators of blood
in dogs suffering from diarrhea caused by Canine Parvovirus. The blood samples were taken from
36 infected dogs that were clinically diagnosed with the ELISA rapid test and the PCR response
under treatment at the 2Vet Veterinary system to analyze the physiological and biochemical
indicators of blood by the automatic Genrui - KT6300 VET and semi-automatic Genrui-WP210 Vet
machines. The analytical data were compared with the values in Small animal clinical diagnosis.
The studied results showed that: hemoglobin number of the CPV sufferers was decreased,
unregenerate anemia, erythrocytes number: 4.07±0.39 tera/l, hemoglobin content: 7.31±0.58 g/dl,
mean volume of red cells: 22.18± platelet number reduced: 149.09±3.25 giga/l. The result of analyzing
blood biochemistry showed that total protein decreased (2.55±0.46 g/dl), albumin decreased (2.55±0.46
g/dl), liver enzymes increased (AST: 64.00±7.32 U/L, ALT: 110.14±7.76 U/L), main electrolyte ions
were reduced (sodium: 137.2±5.3 mmol/L, potassium: 3.9±0, 53 mmol/L, chlorine: 91.1±5.4 mmol/L).
