Dầu tràm là một “biệt dược” truyền thống của Việt Nam với nhiều lợi ích trong chăm sóc sức khỏe cho con người. Tại Thừa Thiên Huế, nhờ điều kiện khí hậu và thổ nhưỡng phù hợp nên cây tràm gió (Melaleuca cajuputi Powell) có hàm lượng tinh dầu cao hơn so với các vùng khác trên cả nước, do đó nghề nấu dầu tràm ở đây phát triển khá mạnh và “tinh dầu tràm Huế” là một sản phẩm được tin dùng rộng rãi.

Bài viết khảo sát tình hình phát triển nghề nấu dầu tràm tại Thừa Thiên Huế hiện nay và đề xuất các giải pháp nhằm giữ gìn, bảo vệ và phát triển sản phẩm dầu tràm trở thành một thương hiệu mạnh của Thừa Thiên Huế.

ABSTRACT

CURRENT DEVELOPMENT OF CAJUPUTI OIL PROCESSING IN THỪA THIÊN HUẾ PROVINCE

Cajuputi oil is a Vietnamese traditional “special medicine” which has many health benefits. Thanks to favorable climatic and soil conditions, cajuputi trees (Melaleuca cajuputi Powell) in Thừa Thiên Huế Province has higher oil content than in other regions of the country; consequently, the work of processing cajuputi oil there relatively developed, and “Huế cajuputi oil” has become a widely used product.

The article aims to investigate the development of the industry of cajuputi oil processing in Thừa Thiên Huế province and suggests measures to preserve, protect and develop the brand of cajuputi oil in order to turn it into a strong brand name of Thừa Thiên Huế Province.
