Tập thơ Đi kinh là một thi phẩm bằng chữ Nôm của tác giả Bùi Quang Diêu, kể lại cuộc hành trình có một không hai của người dân đảo Phú Quý đến kinh đô Huế xin miễn bắt xâu, giảm thuế vào năm 1901. Tác phẩm cung cấp cho người đọc nhiều chi tiết hiện thực, sống động về cuộc phiêu lưu trên biển từ Phú Quý đến Huế, cùng nỗi cơ cực trăm bề của những người dân thấp cổ bé miệng trước chế độ cai trị hà khắc của thực dân, phong kiến. Đi kinh  xứng đáng là một tác phẩm “thượng kinh ký sự” đặc sắc của người dân đảo Phú Quý.

ABSTRACT

This poetry book, written in “Nôm” by Bùi Quang Diêu, tells us a story about a unique journey carried out by a number of the inhabitants of Phú Quý Island to go the royal capital in Huế and lodged a petition for the community on the island to be exempted from corvee and taxes in 1901. The work yields actual and lively details of the adventurous voyage on the sea from the island to Huế, together with the hardship and oppression the powerless ordinary people had to undergo under the feudal and colonialist reign at the time. “Đi kinh” deserves to be praised as a excellent work by the people of Phú Quý Island.
