The aesthetic signgal of flower in Duong Thuan's poems

Abstract

The study shows that among the aesthetic signals in Duong Thuan’s poems  flowery signal has fairly high occurences with both the general and culturally specific meanings. By using the aesthetic signal research method, viewing signals as one of the factors in the whole system, flowery signal bears  the  general artistic symbolic meaning of an incarnation of beauty. However, in different poetic contexts the meaning  has different variations sympolizing the womanlike, love and lover, time and especially the growth . This meaning bears the particular identity of Tay culture , which is the characteristic of Dương Thuấn’s poetry style.
