The examination of Tay Nguyen epics shows that the images of forests have relatively high frequency of occurrences and the use of these images is dominated by the the emotions and the for purposes of the artistic symbolisations. Forest became a artistic symbol when used with a stable figurative meaning. The initial findings of the research are: 1) forest image evoked the idea of something immense, dangerous, distant, great, a difficult obstacle to overcome. 2) The use of things related to mountains to evoke different associations of human life. 3) The use of the forest image to symbolize human beings and human emotions.
