Abstract
The First Lesson to My Child is a very special poem. Since its apprerance, it has spreaded quickly, especially when it was set to the song “The Native land”. Its special and interesting values could be appraised by people of different ages and different living conditions. With the semiotic approach, we would like to show readers our new findings abount the poem which has played an important role in the spiritual life of Vietnamese pepole.
