Abstract

Intermediate is a common phenomenon in the social sciences and natural sciences. It is based on the philosophical foundations and has built up the theory ofintermediate phenomenon (or mid-side theory). In linguistics, intermediate phenomenon is present at all levels and all units. This article discusses 6 intermediate types of the structured-based sentences
as follows: 1. Is it a simple sentence with an adverbial clause or a compound sentence without a subject?
2. Is it a complex sentence with an adverbial clause or a compound sentence?
3. Is it a simple sentence with more than one predicate or a compound sentence with only one subject?
4. Is it a noun phrase or a subject- predicate compound, as a sentence component?
5. Is it a special sentence or anellipsis?
6. Is it a special sentence (existential sentence) or a sentence with a reversed predicate?
Up till now, intermediate phenomenon is considered a complex issue, but we could no longer deny its existence.
